THOMAS CLAYTON

Chief Executive Officer & President

Tom is a Silicon Valley veteran having started or worked at six different Valley startups. Prior to Bubble Motion, Tom was the GM of the Worldwide Telecom Business at BEA Systems, an infrastructure software company acquired by Oracle for $8.5B. Before BEA, Tom’s startups varied quite a bit, from another Sequoia Capital and Goldman Sachs backed networking software company, Bang Networks, to an ecommerce-focused systems integrator that was ultimately acquired, to a high-end audio manufacturer that is still a successful independent business today. He also worked as an economic policy consultant to The White House, where he drafted the U.S. High-Tech and Telecommunications Economic Stimulus Policy for building out nationwide ubiquitous broadband access. Tom is also on the Board of several venture-backed startups in Asia and Silicon Valley as well. Tom holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a BS degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to Tom’s professional career, he was a boxer and won the Bronze Medal at the U.S. National Championships.

TS RAMAKRISHNAN

Chief Technical Officer

TS has a long track record of helping build some fairly successful startups – including Oracle, Yahoo!, Skype, Facebook, and Admob. Most recently he was VP of Engineering at AdMob, the leading mobile advertising marketplace. Prior to AdMob, TS worked as VP of Engineering for Facebook, where he oversaw the social networking site's architecture, led Facebook's product engineering team, and built the site's first mobile version. Prior to Facebook, TS served as Head of Partner Technologies for Skype. TS also pioneered Yahoo! Instant Messenger and Mobile Messaging products, which he led for over seven years. Prior to his decade building out Yahoo, TS spent another decade helping to build out Oracle from its infancy. In his spare time, TS is an avid ‘arm-chair’ cricketer and stays up all hours of the night to catch his favorite teams in India live via satellite.

Jean

JEAN HUANG LUNDGREN

Chief Operating Officer

Jean has happily spent nearly the last two decades of her career working across various functions in the media and mobile industries. Most recently,she was at Vanguard Strategy in Tokyo working on large-scale brand strategy projects for top tier corporations. Prior to Vanguard, Jean ran Partner Marketing and Business Development for Motorola, based in Beijing. She ran a regional team responsible for devising and executing mobile VAS strategy for the Android and Symbian platforms. Before Motorola, Jean held numerous management positions in finance, marketing, strategy, operations, and venture financing at SonyBMG working across their New York, Taipei, Munich and London offices. She began her career with the Mitchell Madison Group, a start-up strategy consulting firm founded by McKinsey directors. Jean holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a BA (honors) in international political economy from Columbia University. She has lived and worked in 8 countries, and especially enjoys exploring local foods with her family, and then having to work it all off afterwards.

Brett

BRETT BOUCHARD

Chief Marketing Officer

Brett is a strong product visionary and seasoned marketer whose expertise is online and mobile consumer acquisition and international markets. Most recently he was VP of Marketing at SkyGrid, an early stage Silicon Valley mobile app startup. Brett was responsible for all marketing activities with a focus on driving user growth for the iOS and Android apps. Prior to SkyGrid, Brett was the Managing Director of Europe for Ancestry.com. He started up the European operations from scratch and launched all of their European country websites, as well as led the global mobile app launch across 20+ countries. Before that, he led Online Acquisition Marketing for AOL's newly launched premium services which included Voice and Messaging products. He started his business career with Cap Gemini Consulting in Brazil and worked on multiple projects across different industries in South America, Africa, and Europe. Brett holds an international MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in international relations from the University of Virginia. Prior to his business career, Brett lived for two years in a remote jungle in the tiny West African nation Guinea-Bissau working for the Peace Corps – and there he became fluent in his sixth language – Guinean Creole.

Prakash

PRAKASH DURGANI

Vice President, Engineering

Prakash is a seasoned communications engineering executive who has built out several successful leading IP voice and mobile app companies in the US. He is a deep domain expert in software development technologies and standards including SIP, ISDN, SS7, VoiceXML, Call Control, IMS, and mobile operating systems and applications. Prior to running engineering at Bubble Motion, Prakash led engineering and operations at Angel, a fast growing cloud-based voice solutions provider that grew over 400% in revenue during his tenure. Before Angel, Prakash led the VoIP based IVR platform development efforts at West Interactive and was an active contributor to the development of InterCall's IP Conferencing platform, which currently serves over 4 billion minutes a year. Prakash graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of North Texas. In his spare time, he loves to read biographical novels on the world's leading philanthropists and plays in professional tennis tournaments.

Paul

PAUL PALMER

Vice President, Sales

Paul Palmer has held senior leadership roles in telecommunication startups as well as multinational companies over the past 20 years. Paul came to us from Adaptivemobile where he ran sales and operations for the APAC region. Before joining Adaptivemobile Paul was Director of Sales and Business Development APAC at Ubiquisys, the femtocell company and also Regional Director Asia for Mformation Technologies where he was responsible for setting up and running sales and professional services for Asia and securing Mformation’s first Asian customers including Bharti Airtel, FarEastTone and IDEA Cellular. Paul has also served in pre- and post-sales management roles at SmartTrust, Lucent Technologies and Motorola, and has also worked at both Vodafone and Orange, giving him a strong sense of operator requirements. Paul holds a BSC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Open University. In his spare time, Paul can be usually found training for his next 10km or half marathon or spending time relaxing with his family.

JOANNE

JOANNE JOYNSON-HEWLETT

Vice President, Finance

Joanne has enjoyed a distinguished finance career spanning over 10 years focused around the IT and Teleco industries. Originally based in the UK working for VERITAS in a financial compliance role and then commercial finance for mobile operator O2, Joanne relocated to Asia Pacific region and has become immersed in leading finance for early-stage growth companies. Joanne's experience covers all areas of finance from accounting, payroll, treasury, controls, budgets, forecasts and tax compliance in over 8 countries. Joanne earned her Bachelors with Honors in Business Studies from Leeds University, UK. For fun, Joanne enjoys diverse experiences (countries, food/drink, people) and has a particularly keen interest in up-and-coming fashion designers.
