Bubble Motion was started when our founders wanted a way to send fast and easy messages to their friends and family. However, they did not want to call them and risk being stuck in a lengthy conversation. Yet, they also wanted something more personal and easier to send than a text message. Therefore, they created BubbleTalk, where they could send quick and easy voice messages (ie, bubbles) to their friends. When they first built the service, they expected a few hundred messages a month. However, the service quickly took off, and they had to seek external financing just to fund the backend infrastructure to power the service. That’s when our trusty partner Sequoia Capital came in and helped transform the cool idea into a next generation mobile services company with one of the fastest growing mobile applications in the world.

Now tens of millions of users are “bubbling” their friends every month. As the service has taken off across many of the most advanced mobile markets in the world, it is quickly spreading and becoming a global phenomenon. Leveraging this huge subscriber footprint, Bubble Motion immediately began developing other next generation audio messaging applications. Now the company has successfully launched: BubbleBlog - a voice-based social media voice-blogging service; BubbleCast – a one-to-many audio broadcasting service; and a series of other messaging and content applications.
